UK Citizens Assembly on Climate just reported

Parliament’s trial Citizens Assembly on Climate has just reported. Good stuff, but the question they were asked to address failed to generate responses with sufficient urgency. The question was ‘how to achieve net zero by 2050’ not ‘what to do about the climate and ecological emergencies’ which now requires a target much earlier in the next decade to achieve the original aims of the climate change act 2008 (because the world has delayed starting for so long).
