For our second litter pick in the central area of town, we’re concentrating on the railway village. Once the home of railway workers and the beating heart of the new town, the area has undergone a lot of change since the close of the railway works. It has a lot of rubbish thrown about, an unhealthy culture having formed over many years. We are doing our bit to change that, spreading some love about the place. Please join us.
This event is being jointly run with CARIG, the Central Area Residents Improvement Group. It’ll be our second litter pick in the central area of Swindon which includes areas around the railway village and canal path. Our first litter pick was a good day, well-turned out. We cleaned along the length of the canal path which has a constant flow of rubbish including fly-tipping. Looking good afterwards, proper job!
We will be meeting at 3pm at The Bakers Cafe, 16 Emlyn Square, SN1 5BN. All are welcome. Children to be accompanied by a responsible adult(s). And please come prepared for the English weather!
Hope to see you then. Please contact us with any questions.
