Who we are
SCAN is a network of environmental community organisations and individuals in Swindon. We are also part of the wider Wiltshire Climate Alliance and affiliated to Friends of the Earth. We aim to engage people, politicians and organisations with the need to conserve our environment for future generations and address the causes of the climate and nature emergencies that are already starting to unfold.

What we do
We meet with our MPs and the council to discuss the climate and nature emergencies we face, hold stalls at public events, organize and collaborate on some annual events and hold in-person or zoom meetings on key issues - these were on on the 3rd Wednesday evening of the month at 7:30 Aug-Nov 2024, we may change this to a different day of the month for 2025.
We have recently been working with Wiltshire Climate Alliance and their projects on Green Open Homes / Retrofit and Climate Literacy. We would like to scale up our engagement in Swindon and would be pleased to hear from you if you would like to join in.
